Phawuo: Experimental Monophonic Synth for iPhone
Phawuo is an experimental monophonic virtual-analog synth designed by Alexey Nadzharov. It boasts "dirty" oscillators, perfect for bass sounds and effects. The latest version 3 introduces OSC support, AUv3 compatibility, and a macOS version with shared presets.
This innovative app features two unique oscillators with rough and "cheezy" sound modes, capable of sawtooth/square waveforms and pulse width modulation. Users can enjoy distortion, feedback ring modulation, a 24 dB/octave state-variable filter, dual ADSR envelopes, and an LFO for waveform modulation. Phawuo also offers an effects section with delay, frequency shifter, and reverb, along with precise parameter editing and support for Audiobus, Inter-App Audio, and CoreMIDI.
